Westview Baptist Church in Sylacauga, Alabama - Join us on Sunday!

If you're looking for a comfortable, friendly place to worship, we invite you to visit and meet our church family!

Our normal Sunday services include Sunday School at 9:45am, Worship at 11:00am, Bible Study at 5:00pm, and Evening Worship at 6:00pm.

Kids (and parents) had a fun time celebrating the end of our first FaithWeaver Friends session with hot dogs, nachos, chili, and popcorn PLUS water balloons, train rides, and pie in the face of a brave volunteer. Each child recited the Ten Commandments to earn a turn with a cream pie in hand! More pictures here. FaithWeaver Friends will resume in August.

Our Spring Open Cruise-In on May 5th had some mighty nice classic cars and trucks, and motorcycles on display. There was lots of talking on the subject plus good food and music.

Vacation Bible School will be June 11-15; mark your calendar. This year we're going camping! You can register ahead of time by submitting the online registration form. Check this site periodically for updates.

Westview's second annual Wild Game Dinner took place on March 25th, with tasty samples of several wild critters, along with store-bought turkey and a beef roast for the non-game eaters. Add the varieties of salads and sides and the normal abundance of desserts, and it added up to a wonderful meal for all. One person managed to get a good serving of banana pudding this time!  More pictures

The church was the place to be on March 3rd when the Women of Westview (WOW) held a conference with the theme, "What's in your Purse?"  You might be surprised at the contents of purses; door prizes were awarded based on unusual "stuff" we somehow managed to find in our purses. The agenda included a session on what items are really needed in a Christian's purse, songs by talented Amy Holcomb, a sing-as-long worship with our wonderful Westview praise team, and a fantastic guest speaker, Pastor Judy Graham from Decatur. Lunch was served on beautiful tablescapes decorated by our members. We can't wait for the next WOW conference! More photos!

Adults and kids had a blast at our recent Father/Daughter, Mother/Son Party (Feb 19). Parents, children, grandparents, even great-grandparents participated. The highlight of the evening was the zany photos with critical accessories! Here's a few pictures or you can see all of the photos here.
