We are proud to announce that Westview now has a Relay for Life Team! They are hard at work raising money through baked goods auctions, luncheons, etc. Their yard sale is next (see below) and the Tablescape Dinner will be coming up soon. Check back for these and other upcoming events!
February 7th is the date for our Relay for Life Yard Sale. The doors open at 7:00am and we'd like to see lots of folks come out. Items will be in the Fellowship Hall at the rear of the church so it's on--rain or shine. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society in the fight against cancer. Come and spend some money for a good cause!
We will be scheduling gospel singings on a regular basis in 2015. Watch for the dates in the local media (print, tv, radio, flyers) and on this website.
Our next PTSD/Grief Support session will be February 16th at 6:30pm. We meet in the Fellowship Hall (double doors at rear of church). All discussions are conducted by a licensed counselor in a casual group setting and discussions are considered confidential. The goal of these meetings is to help anyone who suffers from PTSD or has family/friend with PTSD, anyone who has lost a loved one, lost a job or experienced other types of loss to get through the healing process. We are seeing these sessions helping people through their difficult time. Everyone is welcome!
The popular Randy and Sherri Miller were in concert at Westview January 11th. Their music ministry, as usual, was packed with praise and worship, plus a lot of laughter. Be sure to come the next time they are here!
Parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles,
siblings.....they were all there as the Songbirds presented a rousing
performance of "The Christmas Cross" on December 7th. The serious theme,
"You can't have Christmas without Christ," included moments of laughter
mixed in and, as always, the children did an outstanding job! View the entire 30-minute performance on YouTube. Shorter videos and
pictures coming soon!
Our Community-Wide Revival kicked off November 9th and gained momentum throughout the next 3 evenings.
