Our Family Fun Night in June proved kids aren't the only ones laughing with each other and enjoying their church family. This Bingo Night featured a special "spin" to claim your prize... including gag gifts and the dreaded ZONK, which resulted in various unusual situations (two are shown below). More pictures are available by clicking here.
Vacation Bible School in June, "Shine", was a big hit - lots of revolving colored lights and plenty of drum action! Lots of pictures posted here.
The Glory Road Quartet, one of our favorite singing groups, was back at Westview in June. They are from Thomasville, Alabama; their Facebook description is 'Sharing the love of Jesus through traditional "Good Old Southern Gospel" music.
Our Relay for Life Team culminated their fundraising efforts at the Relay for Life event held at the Civic CenterMay 15th, along with 27 other teams from South Talladega County. In their first year as a team, they raised $2,300 and won the Best T-Shirt Design! Congratulations to all who took part.
We never quit talking...to the customers or to each other!
Popcorn, anyone? One of our best sellers!
Our Family Fun Night on April 26th included outdoor games along with our usual food and fellowship. We plan to have a family fun night once a month during the summer months. The next one is May 31 and will feature bingo. More pictures here.
Our Relay for Life Tablescape Dinner was held March 31st with a fantastic turnout --good food, good fellowship and tables decorated to the "T." Add a wonderful trio of singers plus a laughter-inducing speaker and that about sums the evening up! Thanks to all the ladies who decorated tables, the food preparation folks, and the youth who served as waiters. We are already looking forward to next year. You'll find pictures here.
